WOMEN TO BE GIVEN THE RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE

Senaite By Vote of 37 to 3 Bushes Through Measure to Give Women the Bight to VaiiL (Special to The Republican.) Indianapolis, Peb. 20.—8 y a vote of 3f to 3 the senate this morning passed the bill granting women the right to vote. The bill was reported out by the committee and under suspension of the rules was rushed to a vote in the senate. The three members voting against the bill were Senators Kinder, Reesh and Zearing. Immediately after its passage the bill was rushed over to the House and it will come to a vote there ‘Monday or Tuesday. ‘ The bill as passed gives the right for women to vote on all offices except on constitutional offices, such as attorney general, officers of court, etfc.
