DeMotte Citizens Ask to Have C. I & S. Depot Moved.

A petition signed by bver one hundred people of DeMotte and vicinity asks the Public Service Commission to order the C., I. & & railroad to move its depot at that place to the south side of the tracks and at the point where the main street of the town intersects the tracks. It is now located north of the main street and quite a distance west o fthe street, thus requiring persons who visit the depot to cross the tracks at considerable risk and there is no sidewalk near the depot. The wagon road in the rear of the depot is difficult olf access and the location, named would be of a great advantage and a protection against accident. A mass meeting was held at the DeMotte dchool hoifse one evening last week and all were enthusiastic to have the depot location changed.
