A reporter for the Winfield Courier dropped into a justice court the other day while a case was on trial, and seeing a well-known business man sitting near the door, asked him what the case was about. The man said it was the hat case from" St. Louis. “Who’s bringing the suit?” asked the reporter. “I dunno,”. said the business man. “Well, what’s the row over?” “Search me.” “Well, where’s the hat?” “Couldn’t say.” “Are-you a witness?” “No, I’m a juror,” ‘said the business man. —Kansas City Star.
