Fifty Friends of Harry Gifford Gave Him a Surprise.

A very pleasant surprise party took place Saturday evening when fifty friends of E E. Gifford, of Barkley township, dropped in on him to help celebrate his birthday. Although they were totally unexpected by Mr. Gifford he made them all welcome and an enjoyable evening was spent by all. At 10:30 his wife served supper, consisting of oysters, cake and coffee and fruit. The guests departed at a late hour wishing Harry many mere happy birthdays.
