BUILDING AND LOAN MAY BE STARTED HERE

Republican Suggestion Meets Approval and Man May Be Found to Start Association.

It is probable that a building and loan association will be started in Rensselaer yet this year, possibly in time to make a few loans. The Repbhlican has been urging this off and on for a year or more and particularly since last fall. Every business and professional man in the city should take out some stock and give it encouragement. Mechanics and laboring men should use it as a means of thrift. The plans have not yet been started but in all probability will be soon and this will do more than any other thing to build up our city. It is every person’s time to boost.
