Thirty-Four Thousand Games Were Played In Which 152,000 Players Took Some Part.

Intercollegiate football during the last season was played by 450 colleges, 6,000 secondary schools, and by 1,500 teams not connected with educational institutions but representing athletic associations, large and small. Thirty-four thousand games were played arid 152,000 players participated in the games and practice. Notwithstanding the distractions of war and the handicaps of tight money, more people than ever before attended the games of the country, estimates placing the number around 7,292,000 persons.
