COMMERCIAL CLUB DRAFTS RESOLUTION

Asks Representatives in General Assembly to Use Best Judgment About Railroad Rate. The Commercial Club held a meeting at Mayor Spitler’s office Wednesday evening and passed a resolution which is understood to be favorable to the railroad’s effort to repeal the 2-ecnt law and put in its place a law authorizing the- railroads to charge 2Va cents per mile for travel. While the resolution .does not give unqualified endorsement to the plan, it is framed to <eonvey the approval of the club to the proposed law and asks the representatives in the general assembly to use their best Judgment in the matter, being fair with the railroad if they believe the measure -meritorious.
