Funeral of John Gaffey Held at St. Augustine’s.
The funeral of John Gaffey, who was familiarly known as “Daddy” at Parr, where he had lived for many years, was held this Thursday morning at St. Augustine’s Catholic church in this city, burial being made in Mt. Calvary cemetery. Mr. Gaffey was 83 years of age last June and was a native of Ireland. He leaves three daughters and one son, namely, Mrs. John Jensen, Mrs. Clarence Roe and Mrs. Carrie Healey, of Chicago, and Hugh Gaffey, o>f Gifford. M,r, Jensen and two children and Mr. Roe and one daughter accompanied their wives to the funeral. A sister of thp deceased, Mrs. Shepard of Chicago, and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Tom Gaffey, of Chicago, also attended the funeral. The pallbearers were all residents of Parr,-namely, Joe Luers, William Myres, S. T. Brusnahan, J. L. Babcock, Victor Brusnahan and Joseph Kosta.
