LIQUOR TO KNOW FATE THIS WEEK

Congress Specialty Presents Hobson’s Prohibition Measure— Considered Forlorn Hope. Washington, Dec. 20.—Chief interest in congress this week centers on the vote in the house Tuesday on the rule to take up the Hobson resolution for submission'to the states of a constitutional amendment for national prohibition. The vote promises to 'be spirited. Although it had been proposed to volte also before the holiday recess on a rule for a woman’s suffrage constitutional amendment, administration leaders tonight predixjted hat there would not be opportunity to reach the suffrage amendment until 'after the holiday recess. House leaders say the prohibition resolution will not receive the requisite majority volte. In that case Senator Sheppard, of Texas, later in the session will endeavor to presis a vote on a similar reMdution which he introduced, at the last session.
