Frankfort Wanted Business And Kept Disease Secret.
The Republican has always contended that the best means of quelling contagion is to make its presence ppblic. Frankfort has just .had some experience with smallpox. The disease broke out and business interests demanded . that it be kept quiet. The disease has now passed into the third week and there are a great many cases and it 4s probable that a rigid quarantine must be established to conquer it. Had this precaution been taken at first the disease could have been easily stamped out.
