Water for the Bees.
Give the bees plenty of water. They need a great deal and will fly a long distance to get it., , 1 ' If there is no running stream or lake of pure water near it Is well to place a pall of fresh water near the apiary every day. Bees dse water to dilute the heavy, thick honey left over from winter to make It suitable for the young larvae and also to make the cell wax pliable. ,Bees should be protected from the wind on the north and west by a closeset hedge or high fence.
