President Wilson’s Own District Goes Republican by 2,000

Trenton, N. J., Nov. 3.-—President Wilson’s home congressional district, the Fourth of New Jersey, has elected Elijah C. Hutchinson, republican, to succeed Congressman Allan B. Walsh, democrat, by about 2,000 plurality. Meager returns indicate strong republican gains throughout the state and the democrats will probably not have more than four or five of the twelve congressmen. The present delegation is ten democrats and two republicans.
