Prof. Isaac Lewis,,of the University of Texas at Austin, who has been spending the summer with relatives in Barkley township, re turned Thursday afternoon from a visit at Bloomington, where lie graduated from the state university several years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. W. O. McClanahan returned to their home at Chicago Heights today after a visit since Wednesday with his brother, John E. McClanahan and family in Rensselaer. He is a son of Jim McClanahan, of Union, and left Jasper along witli the crowds who rushed to Chicago Heights at that time. He says that he don’t believe there ever would have been any Chicago Heights if it hadn’t'been for Jasper county.
Mrs. W. G. Wi nn and, daughter, Madge, left yesterday afternoon for their new home at Irving Rev. Winn left today. In order to avoid delay in the arrival of their household goods most of them were sent by express instead of freight. Miss Virginia Winn will remain here until Wednesday v.isitng Vela Healey, who will then go to Irving Park with her to remain several days. . .
