Wife of B. F. Shields Died in California Recently.
Mrs. E. H. Shields is in receipt of a newspaper from Franklin, NCb.. which tells of the death in California of Mrs. D. F. Shields, formerly a resident of this city and a daughter of Richard Howe, who will be remembered by many of the older residents. 'Mrs. Shields and her husband had been living for many years in Nebraska, but she was in California when death occurred. Her husband was a brother of Jphn Shields, the deceased husband of Mrs. E. H. Shields and also a brother of Mrs. William Bull, of this city. She was about 70 years of age.
Mrs. William Barker, formerly Miss May Fox, of North Baltimore. Ohio, has been Mr. and Mrs. Tillman Watson, at Brook, and came here Thursday evening to attend the band concert and spend a short time with her father, Comrade Fox. Mrs. Barker has five children and three of them are with her at Brook. Typewriter ribbons for all makes of machines for sale at The Republican office.
