Residence of Ross Ropp At Wheatfield Burned.

The residence of Ross Ropp, of Wheatfield, was totally destroyed by fire Wednesday night at midnight. The property belonged to Mrs. Maria Biggs and neither Mr. nor Mrs. Ropp were at home when the fire occurred. Mrs. Ropp is a daughter of William Harrod and was visiting at the home of her brother, Burley Harrod, near the Jay Lamson home, southwest of this city,.and Mr. Ropp was staying with his wife’s parents in Wheatfield. The fire seems to have started on the first floor of the house and the entire building was in flamfs when discovered. Ross had his household goods insured for S6OO. He is the son of Henry Ropp, north of town.
