W. L. Wood has returned from Mudlavia, where he went to tAke treatment for rheumatism. He will • either return there or go to Martinsville next week for further treatment. Mrs. I. N. Hemphill was taken to the Hahneman hospital in Chicago yesterday, and was operated on this morning by Dr. Clark, for the removal of what the specialist diagnosed as tumor or cancer.
