Militia Company Will Go To Camp Sunday for Ten Days.

The Rensselaer militia company will go to camp Sunday, Aug. 16th. and preparations have been under way for several days, drilling old and new soldiers and equipping them for the tour of duty. Company M beerf*taking in a large number of recruits and the present enlisted strength of the company is the largest it has been for several years. The camp this year promises to be a fine one, the program not including any long hikes, but, will've busy with instruction that will keep the soldiers entertained and will be of lasting benefit to them. Last week sevchteen new soldiers were enlisted at Newland and these will Ibe a part of the local company at this camp. It is probable that Company M will take 55 or 60 men to the summer military school. It is not too late now for any wiho have had military service to enlist, and if they will appear at the armory Saturday afternoon or evening they will be enlisted and can go with the company. The company will leave here on special train at 6:15 Sunday morning and all mem bers are to be at the armory to start at 5:30± The tour lasts 10 days and the company is scheduled to return on the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 25th.
