KILLED PRAIRIE CHICKENS AT GIFFORD
Pate Swisher and Will Steel Arrested by Game Warden Williams and Fined $74.50 Each. J. P. Swisher and Will Steel, of Gifford, were arrested by Game Warden J. B. Williams at Gifford Thursday for killing prairie Chickens. They had flvfc in their possession when placed under arrest and when haled before Squire Irwin they entered pleas of guilty to killing chickens and to having them in their possession. The minimum fine of $25 was assessed in each case. This with the costs made each case figure $37.25 and as each man got two fines the change against each is $74.50. They both went to jail.
