Great Painter’s Love Story.
- Turner’s love story is tragic. Somewhere about the year 1797, while the great painter was still at school at Margate, he fell deeply in love with the sister of one of his schoolfellows. The intimacy grew and continued, and a few days later Turner proposed gnd was accepted. Then he went away for a couple of years to pursue his art studies, and during that time nut a message or a letter came from him. The young lady was hurt and ofltei ded at such cruel treatment, and under the smart of neglect and pressure from an' unkind stepmother she accepted another suitor. Within a week of the day fixed for the wedding Turner returned. He obtained an interview md pleaded his cause passionately, but the girl refused to listjn to enjr sxplanation.
