The Midnight Sun.

The “Midnight Sun" is not visible south of the Polar circle. It is above the horizon throughout the twentyfour hours at Bodo from June 8 to July'7; at Tromso from the 19th of May to the 22d of July, and at the North Gape from the 12th of May to the 29th of July. There are corresponding periods during December, January and November when the sun Is notseen. But the darkness of the Winter is by no moans so great as mdghtdx imagined.
