$500,000 FOR SEAT IN CHOIR
New York Financier Endows Cathedral Bchool for Membership in Binging Body. New York.—A gift of $500,000 for the endowment of the choir school of the Cathedral of St. John the Divine from Frederick G. Bourne, a financier and yachtsman, was announced by Dean Grosvenor at the close of the Easter services. The gift was presented on the condition that Mr. Bourne be elected a member of the choir. He was elected unanimously. A letter was read by Dean Grosvenor from Mr. Bourne in which be said that he bad sung in other choirs since he was fourteen years old.
