Telephone Company Has Reduced Soane Toll Rates.

The new owners of the Jasper County Telephone Co. report that they have made the following toll rate reductions; - - lit. Ayr from 20 cent* to 15 cents. (Morocco from 25 cents to 20 cents. Brook from 25 cents to 20 cents. The matter of a reduction to Remington has not yet been taken up, but it is probable that the rate will be lowered to at least 15 cents. The present rate Is 20 cents. An investigation recently conducted by The Republican showed that in many places there was a 10 eent rate to all points within the county and that the toll rates here were uniformly (too high. Messrs. Clark and Bott have talked very fairly about the matter and promise to consider further reductions as they fed their way along.
