Chicago Inter Ocean and Record Herald Both Sold.

Chicago, May 7.—The Chicago Record Herald and the Chicago later Ocean were purchased today by James Keeley, general manager of the Chicago Tribune. The transfer of the papers was announced shortly after George Wheeler Hinman, holder of the majority of the Inter Ocean bonds, had bought the Inter Ocean for $50,000 In a receiver# sale in the federal court: The two papers will be merged and published as the Record Herald. W. W. Chapin, formerly in charge of the Shn Francisco Call, will be associated with Mt. Keeley. Mr. Keeley, is was said, would sever his connections with the Tribune at once
