Missionary Society of the Logansport Presbytery.
Winamae Democrat. About eighty delegates have been here yesterday and today attending the annual meeting of the Woman’s Missionary Society of the Logansport Presbytery, in session at- the Presbyterian church here. Some of the visitors represent tile Young Ladies’ Guild. The district is composed of ten counties in the,, northwest part of the state, and a large number of the local missionary societies are represented. The sessions began yesterday afternoon, and the program was carried out practically as outlined, with some minor changes. Some of those on today’s program were not present, so several reports and talks were delivered by other representatives. The meeting is to close with tonight’s session. Num-' erous town people have attended the gatherings, the crowd last evening filling the church. A dinner was served to the visit ors today noon by the ladies of the Christian church, and another spread is to be given by them this evenig for the young ladies in attendance. Dr. J. C. Garritt is to deliver a lecture tonight on Chinese missionary work, and there will be special music by (Miss Harriet Ferris,« of Hammond.
