MANY WILL VISIT NEWLAND FRIDAY
Talk by Henry G. Ball and Visit of Monon Official Will Bring Out a Large Crowd.
Newland is booming. i The first effort to get a large crowd there will take place Friday, April 10th, and Ed Oliver and the other boosters are planning for a Dig time. Mr. Henry G. Bell, of Chicago, will talk about truck farming and other farming. An official of the Monon railroad will be present to tell what the road intends to do/wlt£ its recently acquired branch. A man from lowa will be there to discuss the project of starting a big general store, erecting a $15,000 building and starting a bank. There will be men of wealth there from Ohio who are contemplative purchasers and it will be a red letter day, not only for Newland, but for all of the co.unty. : Persons who want to go there can leave Rensselaer at 11:05 and return at 7:12, arrangements haying been made for both of these trains to stop at MeCo_ysburg and meet a special train Over the Gifford branch.
It will be a big day for Newland and you will appreciate a visit there.
