Got the Wrong Dish.
Jones seldom gets home in time to eat dinner with his family because the press of his work keeps him at his desk until long after everybody else has left the building. Mrs. Jones always 'puts .his dinner in the oven, where he finds it when he arrives. One night he reached home after the family had gone to bed, and found bls dinner on top of the stove. Next morning his wife opened the oven and discovered that the food she had left for him bad not been touched. “Why, John! Didn’t you eat your dinner last night?" she asked "My dear,” he replied, “I did, and enjoyed It very much, but you made a mistake and left it on top of the stove " “Good heavens!’’ she cried "That was the dog’s supper!”
