Soft Molasses Cookies.

One drop brown sugar, one cup molasses, one cup butter and lard mixed, one teaspoon of salt, one tablespoon of soda dissolved in cup of hot water, two tablespoons of vinegar, one tablespoon of ginger, flour to mix medium stiff; set in a cool place over night and roll about one-quarter inch thick and do not take too long, or they will be bard; this makes about four dozen.
