REGIONAL BANKS HAVE BEEN NAMED
Twelve Cities Selected in Compliance With Terms of the New Currency Law. The location of twelve regional banks and the boundaries of the districts they will serve were announced in Washington Thursday night. This is in compliance with the currency measure passed a short time ago. The cities selected and the capital of each institution subscribed by â– national and state banks follow 7 : Chicago $13,151,925 Minneapolis 4,702,864 St. Louis 6,219,323 Kansas City 5,594,916 Cleveland 11,621,835 Dallas 5,634,091 San Francisco 8,115,524 New York 20,687,616 Boston .. ?.... 9,931,740 Philadelphia 12,993,013 Richmond 6,543,281 Atlanta ...4,702,782 Chicago will be the nearest regional bank for central and northern Indiana, central and northern Illinois, all of lowa, the lower peninsula of Michigan, and southern Wisconsin. The Chicago reserve bank will have 984 national member banks, including the First National Bank of Rensselaer.
