Monon Brakeman Killed In Yards at Michigan City

. Bert Leslie, a brakeman on the Monon, received injuries Wednesday' afternoon at 5 o’clock that resulted in his death an hour later. The accident occurred in Michigan City. Leslie was riding on a cut of cars and as he entered the siding was caught by a car on an adjoining track and thrown to the ground, falling beneath the wheels. H’.s body was badly mangled. He was the oldest brakeman on the north end in point of service and was in line for promotion. He was single and lived at Monon. He was a cousin of Carl Leslie, who committed suicide last Sunday at Logansport. New oar of Jackson Hill coal received. Grant-Warner Lumber Co.
