A man who awake is most prosaic, whose mind is commonplace, who is utterly unable to invent a story or wrltp a drama, will asleep have the most astonishing flights of imagination. He Imagines a story. He peoples it with players, men, women and animals, and each one of them—even the animals at times—speaks his part as perfectly as if he actually west alive.
