Indian Matting.

Having discovered an excellent way to clean matting, I pass it on to others. Beat the matting first to remove all dust, then take it out of doors and scrub it well with bran water or with water to which a small quantity of salt has been added. Soap has a tendency to turn matting yellow, and should not be used. After the matting has- been but through thifl process, it should be rinsed with cold water, rubbed as dry as possible with a clean cloth and hung on a line to complete the drying.
