The beautiful stenographer was alone in the private office of the great financier. Presently a reporter for the Evening Howitzer arrived. He glanced first at the beautiful stenographer, then looked at the closed desk of the great financier and after that he took a careful survey of the office. “Mr. Bullington is not in, is he?” he asked. “1 don’t believe he is,” the beautiful stenographer replied, “but you might look in the waste basket.
