New Cases, Those Advanced and Finally Disposed of Are All Chronicled Here. Circuit Court. The case of Dillon vs. Mills, which was heard by the court on Monday and Tuesday (forenoon, was concluded and taken under advisement by the court. The case of Hurley vs. Karch, et al, tried iby a jury Tuesday, resulted in a verdict for plaintiff. The amount involved was fifty dollars. The plaintiff took a contract of Karch & Ott to do certain ditch work and fifty dollars of contract price was left unpaid, a dispute arising between Karch and Ott as to the amount each should pay. The failure of these two business men to agree upon a small matter caused the plaintiff to expend his time and money to bring them into court to adjust their own differences. Commissioners’ Court. John Eger awarded contract for groceries county farm, at $137.45. The G. E.. Murray Co. awarded eon tract for dry goods at $64.65, and Roth Bros., meat, at $32. The board ordered another election on matter of subsidy for Indiana Northwestern Traction Co. In Carpenter and Jordan townships for the 7th day of April. Ad Hensler and John Porter namefl as inspectors in Carpenter township. Dexter Ditch. Bonds ordered sold in sum of $5,904.95, to bear date of March 3, 1914. Davisdungles pitch. W. F. Osborne resigns as superintendent and board appoints Devere Yeoman superintendent and directs him to qualify according to law. C. J. Hobbs Ditch. Cause set for hearing the 2nd day of April term; George H. Hart Ditch. Certified copy of assessment sheet affecting lands in Jasper county presented by Paul Ward, drainage commissioner. White circuit court and board fixes the 10th day of June, 1914, as the last day of paying the assessments and auditor directed to give notice. Lewis W. Hunt and others have filed petition for atone road in Carpenter township. Set for hearing on second day April term, 1914. John Eck Road. Board appoints John Bill and Frank Fenwick as viewers and Devere Yeoman as examiner and they are directed to meet and qualify at office of Jasper Guy in Remington on March lOtlfi and proceed to view said road and report the second day of April term. Frank Hill Road. Bond of Martin Caln as superintendent filed and approved. Auditor directed to advertise wale of twto bridges In Newton township. Hamilton & Kellner are headquarters for coal, 4 feed and wood. AH orders filled promptly and satisfaction guaranteed.
