FAIR OAKS.
Margaret Rhoorda and Edna Wood visited in Roselawn Sunday. Born, to Corah DeWitt and wife, Feb. 13th, a 12-pound boy.. The social Saturday evening was quite well attended and enjoyed. The temperance service Sunday evening at the Chirstian church was very good and well attended. Leslie W’arne and family have moved into the house vacated by Ray Casey and wife. Mr. and Mrs. Behren and wife, of near Aix, spent Sunday with Walter Bozell. Al Blake and wife went to Medaryville Thursday on account of the severe illness of Mrs. Blake’s father. Mrs. Milt Gundy is visiting her parents in Kouts. The Aid Society will meet Thursday afternoon at Mrs. Cottingham’s. Mr£ Mary Miller has returned to Green Hill, near Lafayette, to remain the rest of the Winter. One of the little Fross boys has taken a relapse since he had the fever and has been quite sick again. to the lots near the old blacksmith shop. Rev. Postill was called here last Thursday to preach the funeral of Mrs. Keener. Logan Wood, of Parr, was here on business Saturday. The D. T. club held forth in bachelor’s hall Saturday evening and elected officers. Miss Mattie McKay is visiting friends in Momence this week. Several of our citizens were called to the county seat Monday to attend the Dunn-Steable trial.
Viola and Elma Umphress took dinner with Julia Bozelle Sunday. Mrs. Sarah Thompson went to Joe Brown’s this week to do sewing.
