FORMER MINISTER’S RESIDENCE BURNED
Rev. T. F. Drake, Now of Winamae, Suffered Loss When Roof Was Burned From Home Sunday. Winamae Republican. With the thermometer hovering around the zero . mark Sunday noon, the roof was literally burned from the home of Rev. and Mrs, T. F. Drake before the blaze could be extinguished. The fire was first noticed by Ed Ewing, a neighbor, and seemed to have originated in the walls or attic above the dining room. The fire was several yards distant from the chimney when first discovered and no one can explain the origin. Before the fire hose was turned upon the flames all the household goods had been removed to the street, except SIOO worth of books, which were ruined. The total insurance is about S9OO.
