EQUAL TAXATION URGED BY SPEAKERS

State Hoard of Tax Commissioners Will Advocate True Land VtLlues For Next Tear. Assessors from Montgomery, Warren, Fountain, Clinton, Benton, Jasper and Newton counties met in Lafayette Wednesday afternoon in the county oommissioders’ room in the court bouse to receive.instructions and suggestions from the state board of tax commissioners. James M. Stingle, assessor of Tippecanoe county, presided at-the meetnumber of township assessors from Tippecanoe, Clinton and Benton counties were present and Jasper county’s assessor, J. Q. Lewis, attended the meeting. All of the members of the state board were present and talks were made by E. H. Wolcott and Dan M. Link. They urged the equalization of taxation and a uniform value for personal property in every county in the state. Real estate will he appraised next year and an effort will be made to place real estate and personal property on the list-at its true cash values.
