PRIMARY BUILDING TO GIVE LINCOLN PROGRAM
Public Invited to Attend School . Function to Be Given Thursday At Christian Church. I . On Thursday afternoon of this week the rooms on the north side bf the primary- building will give a Lincoln "program, to which the patrons and friends of the public schools- are cordially invited. The exercises will be held in the Christion church, commencing at 2 o’clock. The patriotic orders are especially invitee! since they have but recently presented the schools with some beautiful silk flags. The G. A. R. have said that they are planning to come in.a body and are hoping that each sbldier will bethere. The following program will be given, for which there is no charge: 1. Flag Salute (Five boys from Ist and 2nd grades). Followed by salute to be given by all the rooms. 2. Songs—Fifth Grade. (a) When Lincoln Came. (b) Peace. 3. Story of Lincoln by 3rd and sth grades. 4. Song by 3rd grade, “Hail Fairest Land.” 5. Lincoln Exercise, eight children from Ist and 2nd grades. 6. Recitation—Jack Larsh. 7. First grade song. (a) Finger play, Ist and 2nd. (b) Lincoln Acrostic, 2nd grade. (c) Song, “Lincoln, Our Hero”, 2nd. 8. March and Drill, 3rd and sth. 9. Recitation—Gladys Shaw. 10. Recitation, “A Wish”, Ist. Song, four girls, Ist. 11. Story of Lincoln, 3rd and sth. 12. A patriotic selection will be played on the school’s Victrola. 13. Mr. D. H. Yeoman will explain the Flag of Truce. ( 14. Story by Mn John Kresler. 15.
