Dummies Arrested.

Dummies used by a Pathe director in an auto wreck at South River, N. J„ had the distinction of being shot at and arrested by Chief of Police Oppenberger of that place recently, according to a New Brunswick newspaper. The dummies, when not in use, were placed in "the store room of the Washington hotel. Some Jokers told the chief that some men were stealing cigars from the Btore room and when he arrived and saw the dim figures in the darkness he called upon them repeatedly to surrender. Receiving no answer he blazed away at them several times before he discovered the joke.
