Abel R. Kivat le One of Most Remarkable Distance Runners Ever Developed In This Country. Abel R. Kiviat, of the Irish-Aiberi-can Athletic club, of New York, is one of the most remarkable distance runners that has been developed by this country. Kiviat who contributed in large pari of the victory of -Uncle Sam in the Olympic games at Stockholm, Sweden, last year. Kiviat won additional honors recently when he captured the national cross-country race of six miles, defeating a strong field, among them several holders of titu-

lar honors. The contest took place under the auspices of the / Amateur Athletic union. Kiviat ran the six miles In the fast time of 88 minutes and 68 seconds.
