Another Murderer Paroled; Van Pelt Given His Liberty.
Charles E. YanPelt, slayer of Charles H. Tindall, a lawyer of Shelbyville, has been 'paroled from the prison after serving little more than two years of a two to twentyone year term for manslaughter. YanPelt shot Tindall because the lawyer accused Van Pelfs wife of beretary of the Court of Honor lodge retary of the Coutr of Honor lodge at Shelbyville. YanPelt is 65 years of age and was a newspaper publisher at the time of his crime. He has returned to Shelbyville. The board has also granted a parole to Edward Harter, of Rochester. Harter was convicted of embezzlement about a year ago. He was charged with wrecking the Akron Citizen’s Bank, of Which he was cashier. The sentence for two to fourteen years. His embezzlement followed speculation on the Chicago Board of Trade.
