ROOSEVELT PARTY WATCHING DECK SPORTS

The Roosevelt party watching the deck sports aboard the S. S. Vandyck of the Lamport & Holt line as the vessel was Crossing the equator. Much laughter was evoked by the pillow fight between McCarroll (left) of the Y. M. C. A. and Hoffman (right), an officer in the Russian army, seated on a spar directly over an improvised swimming pool.
