Cream of Corn Soup.
Ono can grated corn, one pint boiling water. Cook gently iU minutes, then rub through a sieve, ilelt two tablespoons butter. When bubbling add two tablespoons flour, one teaspoon salt and dasb white pepper and sffr in a smooth paste, then add gradually to it one pint milk and cook until smooth and creamy. Stir all the time. Cook fly* minutes on back of the stove, where It will not bum, and add corn; beat thoroughly and serve.
