St. Augustine’s Church Notes.

Next Sunday is the last Sunday after Pentecost," which also is the last Sunday of the ecclesiastical year. The order of the services at St. Augustine’s Catholic church will be as follows: early mass with a short catechetical instruction on the sacrament of matrimony at 8 o’clock. Rosary and high mass with sermon at 10 o’clock. After high mass the ladies of the parish will meet at the parocial school hall to. make final preparation for the annual festival, to be given at the armory Dec. 11, 12 and 13. Christian doctrine, way of the Cross and benediction at 2:30. The trustees of the parish will meet at the parochial residence at 2:30. Last Sunday the members 'of the parish metv at their hall for the purpose of appointing the following committees in the 4th annual corn contest, viz: executive, advertising, music, decoration, corn entrance, county committee on corn, prizes and entertainment. Subsequently the prize committee announced the folio-wing prizes: best 10 ears of corn, the silver cup; four prizes are offered for yellow corn; four for white corn; two for any other kind of corn; and a prize is offered for the largest ear of corn. The winner of the silver cup must win it three times to become the owner of the same.
