Bubonic Plague on West Coast
The bubonic plague has reappeared on the Pacific coast and Californians are being urged by the government to kill all plague carriers and species of rodents. Including rata and ground squirrels. It was only by extraordinary effort that this terrible disease was kept away from the east coast, which was threatened from Porto Rico and South America last year. It has existed for some years on the west coast, however, although no deaths have occurred for a long period until quite recently.
