“If you make your own mucilage (one heaptag teespoonful of gum arable to an ordinary mucilage bottle gives It a cheaper rate than that bought ready made), you can dispense with court plasters, liquid or otherwiae, except where an Intteeptlc is necessary,” says Women's Home Companion. “Ordinary cute can be coated with it quite as effectively aa with the patent preparation. Two coats thoroughly dried will stand the application of water better than anything but what the adhesive plaster doctors use.
