A contract has been placed for a Herreshoff iiloop by George M. Pynchon of New York and E. Walker Clark of Philadelphia, to compete for the honor of meeting Sir Thomas Lipton’s challenge for the Amerlca’a cup next year. The boat Is to be delivered In May, when the Vanderbilt syndicate sloop will also be in readiness tor trial races.
