SULZER OUSTED AS NEW YORK GOVERNOR
, » Held Guilty on Three Charges— Will Not Be Barred From the Holding of Future Trusts.Albany, N. Y.,,.0ct. 16.—8 y a vote of guilty on there out of four of the articles of impeachment acted on by the high court, Governor William Sulzer will be removed .from office. The action was taken late today on Articles 1, 2 and 4. On Article 3 the vote was not guilty. A vote of guilty on any one of the eight articles is held sufficient for removal of the executive. On Article 1, which charged falsification of his campaign statement, the vote was 39 to 18. On Article 2, which charged that he committed perjury in swearing to his campaign statement, the vote was 39 to 18, identical with that on Article 1. The Governor was found not guilty on Article 3, which charged thal he bribed witnesses to withhold testimony from the legislative committee. The vote was unanimous. On Article 4, which charged that he suppressed evidence against himself, the vote was 43 to 14. At the close of this vote adjournment was taken until 10:30 Friday morning.
