WOMAN’S TOES IN DANGER.

Will Have Only Four on a Foot, Says German Doctor. Los Angeled, Cal. —“American women will have only four toes on each toot In a thousand years from now, because they wear shoes too small tor them. This In time will pinch the little toe- of each foot out of existence,” said Dr. Franz Bergman, a physician of Berlin, visiting the United States to study American life. Dr. Bergman has been in America one year and is about to return to his home, where he will file a report on what he has found with a board of medical research. “The great pity in the loss of the little toe will be that the men will have to suffer for the folly and the vanity of the women,” said the doctor. “It will take generations to bring about his change in the anatomy of the foot, but it is coming; In fact, it is already in progress.”
