Defendant Ordered to Pay Money for Plaintiff's Attorney.
Mrs. Isabelle Cain is the plaintiff in an action for divorce from Joseph Cain and pending the action an order was issued by Judge Hanley last Saturday that he pay to the plaintiff $2 per week for her subsistence and also $25 for her attorney. The case will probably be heard at the November term of the court.
Fair tonight and Tuesday; warmer tonight in northwest portion and warmer Tuesday. City Light and Water Superintendent Chamberlin and Councilman Grow went to Sheridan today to inspect a pump recently installed there and which the agent thinks is suitable for use 'here. The contract for the pump recently inspected and conditionally accented in Chicago has not been approved yet and the council is trying to get the best for the least money, consequently this trip. A child of Zack Kerns is sick with what closely resembles diphtheria, although it may prove to be only tonsilitis. A culture was taken from the throat and sent to Indianapolis for analyzation and the local physicians expects to hear from it by Wednesday. In thp meantime the house has been quarantined. The child was taken sick in school but it is not believed that the case had developed sufficiently—to endanger those in the room
