Eggleston, Alonzo Blair, aged 78 years. The funeral of Mr. Blair was held in the M. E. church under the direction of the G. A. R., of which he was a member. Interment in Fair Oaks cemetery. Considerable sickness is reported in the community just now. The Ladies’ Aid has just finished making five large heavy comforts for the Sternberg dredge. Rev. Worley, of Lowell, preached an interesting sermon in the Christian church Sunday evening. Ben Zellars has been to Aix this week visiting his brother, Warren. Carl Trump hurt has hand while putting up hay and had to go to the doctor Wednesday and have it lanced. Mrs. McKay attended the county Sunday School convention Wednesday, in Rensselaer. Orvlll Bringle is home from Lafayette, where he has been working as carpenter. Mrs. Cottingham, who has been staying with her mother, who is sick, has returned home. Mrs. Felix Erwin was called to Akron, Ohio, -on account of the death of an aunt, and her uncle, Henry Harrold, returned with her for an indefinite stay. Mr. and Mrs. Lemel and Grace and Zola Brown, of Chicago, and Wm. Blair, of near Chicago, came to attend the fuenral4»f Mr. Blair.
